Trividend
Everyone knows that money can make things happen. But we don’t yet see enough examples of how, when used wisely, it can also make the world a better place. But what does it mean to use it wisely? That’s a question Peter is eager to tackle.
The customer
Trividend is a pure-play impact financier. It provides financial support in the form of venture capital to companies that prioritize impact.
The question
Investing money in a better future—that’s music to our ears. And that’s exactly what Trividend does. They’re a key player in the ecosystem of impact-driven companies and have quite a bit of overlap with our clients. And our clients are our heroes, so we were thrilled to help make them even stronger through this partnership and to further enhance the great work they do.
The Process & the Impact
To maximize its impact, Trividend needed above all to reach the right impact entrepreneurs—but how do you do that? Trividend came to us with that strategic question back in 2019, and together we developed the right strategy. We were both very pleased with both the results and our collaboration.
Our experience with their ambitions and operations, as well as our understanding of their clients, led us to the second phase of our collaboration. The development of the ImpacT² program, an approach designed to closely examine the focus and strategy of Trividends’ clients. Drawing on our experience, we hold up a mirror to them, helping them optimize their strategy and sharpen their focus on impact.
A successful journey that propelled us from supplier to long-term partner, with the clear goal of maximizing the impact of our resources. A clear win for Trividend, as they consolidate all the individual ImpacT² frames into their annual impact report, thereby making the impact of their portfolio visible.
“It was something new and exciting to try, but the feedback from their customers was very positive. Thanks to the guidance, impact measurement, and reporting, we feel that our support is truly making a difference. It doesn't get much better than this!”
Tips from Frederik Matthijs
- Going through an Impact² process together is at least as important as the set of indicators it produces.
- Be sure to involve your co-founders and your board of directors or advisory board—and preferably even your entire team—in this impact exercise, because it’s about the DNA of your company.
- Indicators aren't set in stone; they can change over time, depending on the context, but certainly also on how close you get to achieving your mission.
“Our clients appreciate that we ask them to take a step back and, away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life, focus on their mission and the social impact they want to make.”
Does this case appeal to you?
We'd be happy to listen to the specific needs of your organization. We'll come as a pair to listen to your request and make an initial proposal. Based on the feedback and further co-creation, we'll provide a final proposal.
