Koenraad is one of S&L’s founders and a naturally strategic and analytical thinker with strong leadership skills. He makes complex ideas easy to understand and thinks radically, with an intuitive sense of what an organisation needs.
Meticulous preparation meets in-the-moment improvisation. When an organisation is navigating complex change shaped by internal and external forces, Koenraad shifts up a gear. He relishes bringing everything together in one coherent strategic plan—especially when that means untangling a complex legal puzzle and reconciling very different views of change.
Koenraad combines the experience of a long-standing activist, cooperative entrepreneur and director of a social-profit organisation. As a consultant, he has supported more than 100 social-purpose organisations in Flanders, the Netherlands and beyond. He helped shake up the disability sector, creating far more opportunities for people to live independently. He also helped lay the foundations for the rapid growth of Cohousing Projects in Flanders.
