Few people have thought about technology more thoroughly than Joos. If it were up to him, everyone would think a little more thoroughly about technology. Preferably before we can no longer do without it. Technology must be more democratic and must contribute to our society — not to one individual’s capital. 

After his time at Mediaraven, it became clear that this vision applies to many more social issues than technology alone. Joos is a seasoned coordinator, from research to positioning. Strategy holds no secrets for him. Nor do the numbers, ideally. Joos makes sure the house is in order, visualizes data and processes, and steers the ship steadily through the roughest waters.

The art of being a fan

It is important to find what you are good at. But what we sometimes forget is to find what others are good at. And then to get really enthusiastic about it, about someone else’s talent. Whether it is a YouTube DIY artist or a musician-engineer-artist who devotes his life to an unbuildable machine, Joos is a fan. A fan of makers, of stubborn tinkerers, of people who truly want to do something with passion and skill, even if their business model or “end game” is sometimes hard to find. And that is why (but not only why), we are fans of Joos.
